Christina Setareh Sharafi

Biography:

Setareh Sharafi graduated from Baylor University in 2019 and earned a certificate in Biomedical Sciences from Baylor College of Medicine in 2023. She is currently a first-year medical student at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she serves as Research Chair on the Dean's Committee and Community Outreach Lead for the Student Dermatology Association interest group. Prior to medical school, Setareh worked as Lab Manager in Dr. Clifton Fuller's lab at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she managed lab operations and conducted research. With eight publications in cancer research, her current interests include skin cancers and the mental health impact of dermatological conditions. She hopes to one day bridge the gap between the field of dermatology and marginalized populations in medicine. In her free time, Setareh enjoys yoga, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
