Title : Autologous plasma gel as a natural dermal filler: Clinical evaluation of safety, efficacy, and longevity in non-surgical facial lifting procedures. My clinical trials

Abstract:

Background: Non-surgical facial lifting has become increasingly popular due to its minimal invasiveness and reduced recovery time compared to surgical methods. Among various natural fillers, autologous plasma gel derived from the patient's own blood has gained attention as a biocompatible and safe option for facial volume restoration and skin rejuvenation. Its potential to stimulate collagen production and provide immediate volumetric enhancement presents a promising alternative to synthetic fillers.
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the safety, clinical efficacy, and duration of aesthetic improvements following the application of autologous plasma gel as a natural dermal filler in non-surgical facial lifting.
Methods: A total of 30 adult patients aged between 30 and 60 years with mild to moderate facial volume loss underwent treatment with autologous plasma gel injections targeting areas such as the cheeks, nasolabial folds, and jawline. Plasma gel was prepared by centrifuging and heating platelet-poor plasma to create a gel-like consistency suitable for injection. Patients were assessed at baseline, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months post-treatment using standardized photographic documentation, physician-rated aesthetic scales, and patient satisfaction questionnaires. Adverse events and complications were recorded.
Results: The majority of patients exhibited significant improvement in facial contour and skin texture within 1 month of treatment, with results sustained up to 6 months. Patient satisfaction scores were high, highlighting the natural feel and appearance of the treated areas. No serious adverse effects were reported, and minor side effects such as transient swelling and mild erythema resolved within days.
Conclusion: Autologous plasma gel is a safe, effective, and natural alternative to synthetic dermal fillers for non-surgical facial lifting. Its autologous origin minimizes the risk of allergic reactions, and its biostimulatory properties contribute to prolonged aesthetic benefits. Further studies with larger cohorts and longer follow-up periods are recommended to optimize treatment protocols and confirm long-term outcomes.
