Title : Phenol peeling for treatment of melasma

Abstract:

Melasma is a chronic disease characterized by hyperchromic spots on the face. Today we know that Melasma shares several changes with photoaging, such as: degeneration of the basement membrane, elastosis, angiogenesis, increase in mast cells. Therefore, the purpose of our approach is to improve the health and quality of the skin with phenol peeling. We show the histological changes before and after Hetter 0.8 phenol peeling

Denise Steiner, MD, PhD is the Professor of dermatology at the university of Mogi das Cruzes, president of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology - 2013/2014, coordinator of the Chapter of the College Cosmetics College Ibero Latino – CILAD São Paulo, Brazil, general Secretary of the Congress College Ibero Latino - CILAD Rio de Janeiro 2014.
