Abstract
About this talk
The relevance of collaboration between a cosmetologist and an orthodontist lies in the pursuit of natural, harmonious, and lasting beauty based on correct anatomical structure the central trend in modern aesthetic medicine.
Facial aesthetics depend on the relationship between soft tissues and the facialskeleton. Accurate facial diagnostics play a crucial role in planning aesthetic corrections, helping to assess individual features and the proportionality of facial zones.
When evaluating the face from a frontal view, we assess facial symmetry by dividing it vertically into five equal parts, each roughly the width of an eye. Additionally, facial aesthetics in the frontal view are evaluated by dividing the face into thirds and analyzing their proportional balance. In profile analysis, we examine the angle of convexity, Ricketts’ line, the nasofrontal and nasolabial angles, the cervicomental angle, and the mandibular angle.
Correcting facial proportions is a complex, multidisciplinary task that requires close cooperation between cosmetologists and orthodontists. Non-surgical facial correction methods are especially in demand today, as they can effectively restore and enhance one’s appearance without the need for invasive procedures. The objective of this report is to develop an optimal diagnostic algorithm and correction protocol, grounded in a comprehensive evaluation of the patient’s facial anatomical geometry, occlusion, and photometric analysis by the cosmetologist. Using the proposed assessment tools can aid physicians in selecting the most effective treatment methods including timely orthodontic intervention.
