Larissa Ethel Soriano Freire, Speaker at Dermatology Conferences
University of Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil
Title : Evaluation of the correlation between lipedema and melasma

Abstract:

This lecture aims to describe the molecular and cellular bases that interconnect these conditions, with emphasis on the role of RAGE receptors, the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), and the remodeling of the extracellular matrix (ECM). Innovative therapeutic approaches aimed at modulating these mechanisms are also discussed. Understanding this pathophysiological interconnection may support integrated management strategies, providing more effective clinical outcomes.
